Review: Vision Board

This company OrangePeel Ltd has come up with a way of visualizing your goals and dreams by displaying your dream images, affirmations and power words on your computer screen and other digital devices like your iPod. I though it was an interesting idea and decided to get a copy. Now that I have been using “Vision Board” for a couple of weeks, I thought I should share some of my impressions with you about whether or not it lives up to the promises that OrangePeel Ltd makes about it on their web site.

Is it really that easy to use? Would it really be that flexible and fun to create a personalized Vision Board? And what it comes down to: would it really keep me in a positive mindset and inspired to reach my goals and dreams?

10 Blog Traffic Tips

In every bloggers life comes a special day – the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else’s blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader – you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that’s about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called “traction”, which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Top 10 Tips

10. Write at least five major “pillar” articles. A pillar article is a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good “how-to” lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn’t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

The History of Network Marketing and The History of MLM

What day did Dinosaurs first roam this world? Which was the first type of Dinosaur? We are not exactly sure, though MLM is not nearly as old, the exact date or type is also still unclear. MLM evolved over a number of years, the marketing system was in development prior to World War II. As we all know, MLM is still evolving and maturing everyday.

Though there is word on the internet that “Wachters” was the first company, most people think and agree that Nutrilite, “The California Vitamin Company” was the first true MLM company. Not that it necessarily started as an MLM company, but the type of compensation plan that it later evolved into was much like a multi-level commission payment generated plan.

In addition to being crowned with the founders of a network marketing payment plan, they were also the founders of the Vitamin and Food Supplements industry, way back in the 1920s. Two of the more successfully representatives of Nutrilite was Rich DeVos and Jay van Andel. In the ensuing decade, they built a large, prosperous organization across America.

I Joined Twitter, Now What Do I Do?

Free Twitter buttons from languageisavirus.comTwitter is a micro-blogging platform and it’s a little different from any other online or social media tool. When people first begin using it, it can seem overwhelming and confusing. How can you really type anything of substance in 140 characters or less?

The first thing I usually advise is that you take some time getting familiar with how it all works. Put up a picture of yourself, find some others to follow, and “tweet” some updates. It may seem a little like you are talking to yourself to do this especially if you are not being followed by anyone else. But it helps to see activity when someone comes upon your page and is making a decision whether to follow you or not.

Once you have observed and participated a little, there are a few things you can do to help you build relationships. Why is that so important? It all goes back to establishing that know, like and trust factor. People like to do business with those they know, like and trust, right? Here are some of the ways to use Twitter to create rapport and get more visibility for your business:

1) Give value. Share links, offer advice and answer questions. I usually suggest a balance of 85% non-promotional tweets to 15% promotional tweets. When you are sharing interesting tidbits, they do not (and should not) be all about your services and offerings. On Twitter, people are looking to learn more about you the person, not just you the business owner. Of course, once they feel that they know you better, they are more willing to eventually buy from you!

2) Engage others. Ask questions, use the @ function to spark conversations and re-tweet others’ messages. This helps people get to know you, but it is also a chance for you to demonstrate your expertise. You don’t need to outright sell in order for others to see that you have something of value to offer them. Before you know it, others will be re-tweeting (sharing) your helpful information with others, leading to more visibility for you.

Discover your entrepreneurial calling because of ANZAC Day

Be inspired to succeed in your entrepreneurial venture. If you’re still discovering your entrepreneurial calling may the ANZAC legacy build upon your visions and dreams of your business opportunity.

Brief overview of ANZAC Day, every 25th of April, Australia, New Zealand and neighbouring countries commemorate this day. It commemorates the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli on 25th April 1915. The 25th of April was officially named ANZAC Day in 1916.

What ANZAC stands for?  It is Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. In 1917, the word Anzac meant someone who fought at Gallipoli and later it became to mean any Australian or New Zealander who fought or served in the First World War. During the Second World War, ANZAC became a day on which the lives of all Australians lost in war time were remembered. The spirit of ANZAC recognises the qualities of courage, relationship and sacrifice which were established at the Gallipoli landing.

Because of the Anzac spirit established by our forefathers at Gallipoli, we truly believe this event has opened the door to business opportunities in many countries that would have been closed to entrepreneurial partnerships pre-Anzac. Many of those nations are now growing great commercial relationships with each other. Not to mention ANZAC biscuits aside, which aussies really like to bake or buy them.
