MSG: More Than a Flavor Enhancer

History of MSG – By Jeffrey Murrah

For thousands of years, people in Japan used seaweed to enhance the flavours of their foods. Scientists began wondering what was it in seaweed that enhanced the food. Eventually, Kikunae Ikeda discovered what it was. His discovery was soon manufactured on a large scale. In 1908 the industrial giant Ajinomoto began manufacturing the chemical compound known as free glutamic acid, otherwise known as “MSG”. The substance was patented in 1909 by a company in Japan. During the second world war, American soldiers noticed that Japanese army rations were tasty. Army quartermasters discovered that the reason for this was MSG.

Subsequent to this discovery, use of the substance spread to the United States. Use of MSG in food became widespread in the United States in the 1950’s through restaurants and home use. The main product used in spreading this influence was labeled as Accent. The product was pure MSG. When the standards for food additives took effect in 1958, the additive MSG was ‘grandfathered” in without any testing since its use was so widespread. Technically it is classified by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) as “generally regarded as safe” without any testing of the substance.

The manufacturing process used to produce the compound requires sophisticated refining. Strong acids and high temperatures are used hydrolyzing, or breaking down various proteins. The refining or ‘hydrolizing’ leaves the manufacturere with a mixture of D-glutamic acid, pyroglutamic acid, along with large amounts of the sodium salt of L-glutamic acid, and various other amino acids. Although the body contains some of these proteins in the brain, these artificially produced substances are dangerous. Since they are produced under artificial methods, their effects differ from naturally produced proteins. The refining of a substance increases its potency. This is true of cocaine, sugar and other highly refined substances.

The companies involved in the manufacture of MSG have formed a coalition known as the Glutamate Association in 1977. Although membership in the organization is secretive, some observers believe that membership includes Ajinomoto, Archer Daniels Midland, Campbell, Corn Products Corporation, McCormick & Company, Pet Foods, Pfizer laboratories, and Takeda. The Glutamate Association conducts research and makes public statements regarding the use and ’safety’ of MSG and associated products.

The spread of MSG use remains wide with heavy use by fast food restaurants. For example at KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) all non-desert items on its menu contain this substance.

Family First, Not the Church

Author: David J. Stewart

“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than AN INFIDEL.” —1st Timothy 5:8

Charity starts at home. This is Biblical. 1st Timothy 5:8 warns that failing to provide for one’s own family makes a man WORSE than an unsaved heathen. A father should always provide for his family first, which includes paying down any credit card debt before tithing. The idea is absurd that a struggling husband and father is supposed to tithe in the midst of an economic recession, while America’s good paying jobs have relocated to foreign soil to exploit slave labor, while illegal immigrants have been deliberately allowed to flood into America’s work-force (thus lowering real wages), while we’re being hammered with unconstitutional taxes, while our own government is catapulting us and our children into MASSIVE national debt! The average pastor couldn’t care less about these cancerous realities in America that hurt working citizens.

Some pastors are so consumed with making a name for themselves that they’re willing to unfairly pressure the people in their ministry to give unwisely. I know a Baptist pastor of a large congregation who pressured all the parents to give their children’s college funds to the church. 1st Timothy 5:8 teaches, “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” Biblically, parents are supposed to put their children’s college first; NOT the church! If you give your child’s college funds to the church, the Bible says you’re WORSE than a heathen unsaved person (because even Godless heathens look after their kids). Proverb 13:22 states, “A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” So while your pastor and his staff are vacationing in Hawaii or the Holy Land with your child’s college tuition money, your child is struggling at a minimum wage job trying to stay afloat financially and is unable to pay for today’s ridiculously high tuition costs.

I know another man whose widowed mother signed over the house to her church in her will; but her son had no home of his own. That is just plain idiocy. Parents ought to put their children first!!! This is Biblical. We’re hearing many stranger doctrines in these Last Days from preachers, saying anything and everything possible to sucker you out of your money. God never intended for us to give money to support padded pews, plush carpeting, stained-glass windows, giant projection entertainments screens, and annual trips to the Holy Land and Hawaii for the church staff, et cetera.

The Illuminati Secret Society, Its Origin and Control

Author: SIRIUS The Dogg Star

The Illuminati is a name that nowadays is used to talk of several groups characterized by secrecy, all groups working together, having one single goal, because of having one and the same god. Historically however, it refers specifically to the Bavarian Illuminati, founded on May 1 of 1776, a secret society of people who believed to be enlighten, by this same so called “god” who in the Bible is called Lucifer, who gave them knowledge occult from the masses which they all use for the ultimate goal of global domination through a New World Order under Lucifer as god and their first and main rule is “Do not talk about Illuminati”. There is much proof that the Illuminati, referring to all these different secret societies, has been behind both World Wars plus the one coming up, as well as many other tragedies around the world, all that may had been necessary for them to come to World Domination, following their motto “Ordo ab Chao” (Order out of Chaos), which I’ll point out later.

Adam Weishaupt

Adam Weishaupt is the man who is recorded as coming up with the name of this secret society which would come to involve all Luciferian societies, even dating back thousands of years ago, all to keep the plan of their ancestors alive ever since Nimrod(One World Government), the first human to be king of the world.

Illuminati Pyramid

The Illuminati was created in Columbia Bavaria, England, but the symbol they used as their logo seems to come from Egypt and it holds a very significant meaning, I think by now everybody knows it and is found on the United States one dollar bill.

Do’s and Don’ts of a Great Boss

by Dan Reiland

If you were to describe the best boss you’ve ever had, how would you describe them? Tough but fair? Caring and a good listener? Competent and trusting? There are so many possibilities, and one of the most difficult things about being a great boss is that everyone would like something just a little different.

Some employees like their boss for reasons far removed from the actual function of an employer. “He lets me leave early every Tuesday so I can take my kid to soccer practice.” Or, “She paid for my trip to New York.” Generous, yes, but these kinds of things generally fall more under the category of a “nice person” and not necessarily a “good boss.”

I know the word boss meets with different opinions. In the 90’s “boss” was out and “team leader” was in. Every 5-10 years there is a new preference. I’m not sure what is “in” right now. My twenty-something friends say it doesn’t really matter, just keep it short and simple – so “boss” it is at least for this edition of the Pastor’s Coach. This article is in many ways a declaration that it doesn’t matter what word you use, from supervisor to manager, there are good leaders and bad ones – and a few in between who are just average. If you are responsible for one employee, dozens, or hundreds I’m sure you want to be a great boss.

I’ve had the leadership role of a “boss” for a long time. Some days are better than others, and I see it as a privileged responsibility and sacred trust – but I don’t take myself too seriously. That’s important – don’t take yourself too seriously. Check out these quotes.

“A Harvard Medical School study has determined that rectal thermometers are still the best way to tell a baby’s temperature. Plus, it really teaches the baby who’s boss.” Tiny Fey

“Accomplishing the impossible means only that the boss will add it to your regular duties.” Doug Larson

“By working faithfully eight hours a day you may eventually get to be boss and work twelve hours a day.” Robert Frost

“No man goes before his time – unless the boss leaves early.” Groucho Marx

OK, enough of those! I trust that the following “Do’s and Don’ts” are helpful to you.

Don’t treat your employees like hired hands.

One of the most basic needs of a human being is to be treated with respect. Regardless of the status of a person’s job, a good boss interacts with each person in a way that communicates dignity.

There are several simple but meaningful ways to do this. First, listen. A leader (boss) can communicate so much through the simple act of genuinely listening. It also helps you know what a person thinks and why. You can get to know someone as a person which will help you both enjoy them and lead them better.

Accepting input from those who work for you is invaluable. From the obvious potential to gather some good ideas, to the more subtle communication that you value them. You might shy away from asking for input because you are fearful of being committed to use the input. You are not obligated! Use what is good and leave the rest. And when you do receive a good idea, give credit where the credit is due.

The bottom line is that people want to know you believe they are important to you and that their contribution matters.

Water-bucket Or Pipeline Builder? What Type Of Salesperson Are You?

By: Steve Norris

If you are in outside sales in what is known as a hunter position, you are either a water bucket carrying salesperson, or you are a pipeline building salesperson. Find out why you need to identify which one you are, and which one you want to be!

Robert Kyosaki tells a great story about a village that had a serious water issue. They did not receive enough rainfall to provide water for the villages daily needs, and the river was a couple of miles away and highly inconvenient for the village people to go to every day. The mayor decided once and for all to put an end to the problem. He would put the job of bringing water from the river to the village up for bid, and they would outsource the project to the winning bidder.

Well, as luck would have it, two men put in their bid, and they were both awarded the project. The mayor figured a little competition never hurt anyone, and they would also always be sure that they would have enough water. Immediately, man number one went out, bought two water buckets, and started carrying buckets of fresh water early in the morning back and forth from the river to the village 6 days a week. He took Sundays off, so on that day the village did not have water.

Man number two did not buy buckets or start carrying water at all. In fact, no one was sure what he was up to. This made man number one quite happy, as he was earning all of the money as the sole source of water for the village. It was terrific! Man number one continued to carry buckets day after day, all day long under the hot summer sun, and he made a darn decent living doing so.

Meanwhile, man number two had gone to work gathering investors, developing a business plan, and received permits to build a stainless steel pipeline from the river to the village. Once complete, he was able to offer an endless supply of water to the village 7 days a week that was cleaner than what man number one was able to provide for 10% of man number ones price! Competition had arrived with a fury!

The example was told to Kyosaki by his rich dad to illustrate a point on work and investing, but doesn’t it also apply to you in the world of competitive sales? In the past 10 years, anyone in sales can tell you the games rules have changed, and they have changed with a fury!

If you are mindlessly cold calling day after day, with no long range plan on how to put your prospecting on auto-pilot, how are you any different than the guy carrying two buckets back and forth every day from the river? How can you continue to compete with a stainless steel pipeline with your two buckets as you get older and your back starts to ache from the unending physical toil? As the odds of you succeeding against those with a long range plan become slimmer and slimmer, how do you get out of bucket carrying mode and make your own pipeline before it’s too late? How can you possibly avoid burnout? How will you continue to compete in the new digital age with ancient methods of water transfer?

You can’t. And, you won’t. If you do continue on the road of carrying buckets day after day, the inevitable end will be sales burnout, ending up broke, bitter, and completely confused as to what happened. Even as you work right now, some of your competition is in the process of building stainless steel pipelines of new clients. And some of those customers used to be yours. How do they do it? What are they doing? How did they know? But perhaps most importantly, how can you do it?

The answer to the last question is different for every field and every industry, but yet the answer is the same in concept. It’s the power of leverage. How does the pipeline carry more water than the individual? It is a structure that took a lot of time and effort to build, that works 24 hours a day even when you dont, required a vision for the future, and it fulfilled a need. You need to repeat that exact same process in order to create your own pipeline. If you are not in an industry where that is possible, you may consider finding one where it is. Carrying buckets long term will almost guarantee sales burnout.

When you take a look at your industry, there is already someone who is building a better mousetrap and is in process of building their own stainless steel pipeline for finding qualified customers. It is never too late to catch up. But do not be fooled, there is no shortcut in the process. There are hours of hard work involved, tremendous amounts of planning to fulfill a market need, and a long range view of where you want to be. When you decide to become a pipeline builder instead of a bucket carrier, your mind will explode with creative ways to make it so, but it will still require a ton of hard work to get there. The sooner you can identify where you are in the process, the sooner you can begin to work towards where you want to be. Eventually, you should be able to put your prospecting on auto-pilot. Best wishes in your pipeline building!
